Download the app from the Download page and open the installer. CutlassEdge runs on macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel, and on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. The Mac download is universal and runs natively on both Apple chip and Intel.
When you buy CutlassEdge, your license key is emailed to you. Enter it on first launch to activate. Moving to a new machine? Open Settings and free the seat on the old computer first, then activate on the new one.
Open Connections: click the feed name beside the ticker at the top of your chart, then Connections. If IB Gateway cannot connect, its row runs the Connection Doctor and shows what is wrong and the steps to fix it, and CutlassEdge keeps trying every 5 seconds, so it connects by itself once the problem is fixed. The notice on the chart also has an Open Connection Doctor button. If it still will not connect, press Copy report in that row and email it to support@cutlassedge.com, and we will take it from there.
CutlassEdge does not include market data; you connect your own feed. For live futures charts, connect Interactive Brokers (IB Gateway or TWS) with your IBKR account and CME market-data subscription. The volume-delta and footprint tools use tick data with trade sides, which needs a Databento account, and your key stays on your own machine. You can also load historical bars from any feed by CSV, and the built-in sample data lets you try the app with no account.
CutlassEdge updates itself. You can also check for updates from inside the app at any time. The newest version, and what changed in it, is always on the Changelog.
