Take everything here the way you take the rest of the reading layer: it is an impersonal, educational read, the same for every user looking at the same market, an informed opinion and not a signal to follow or advice.
Read the day's state first
At the top, the read leads with the day's state, and everything below it is framed by that state, because momentum comes first (the same rule as the Magnet page). The three states:
- Inside the first hour: momentum framing. The POC and value do not matter yet.
- Trending: momentum is in charge until it ends. Levels are targets on the way, not fades.
- Rotational, after the trend ends: now the POC and the value-area edges are in play.
On a gap or a chop-zone open, the banner leads with that instead (see Day and opening types). You may also see a standing line or two here: a note on how the day's levels line up with recent sessions, and a tempo note as a trend starts to lose steam. All of it is descriptive.
The read: bullish, bearish, or neutral
CutlassEdge states the direction the day's structure leans, as Bullish, Bearish, or Neutral. Read it as exactly that: a description of what the structure looks like right now, the same for everyone. It is not a prediction, and not a nudge to go long or short. What has tended to follow each kind of day, with the real odds, is on Base rates and sample sizes.
On screen you will see a small line directly under that word, reading Educational read, not advice. That is the standing reminder, right where the read is.
The day in fields
Under the read, the tab lays the day out in plain fields:
- Open: how the session opened (the opening type, or your Pirate-framework read).
- Close: where price finished in the range, relative to value.
- Value: how today's value moved from yesterday's (higher, lower, overlapping, and so on).
- Day character: a few plain descriptors of the session.
Structures
Quick chips flag the session's structure: buying and selling tails, poor highs and lows, unfilled single prints, a naked POC above or below, closed above or below value. Tap any chip to see its definition. The Single prints section tracks whether an unfilled run is still a fresh magnet or has hardened into momentum evidence.
Key levels
The day's key levels, the POC, VAH, VAL, VWAP, the IB high and low, nearby naked POCs, and the prior close, live on the Levels tab, each with a short note that follows the day's state. The read draws on them, and the same level reads differently while the market is trending than while it is rotating.
The Game plan
The Game plan is a short set of if/then lines: if price does one thing, here is what has tended to follow, keyed to the day's state. Read them as descriptive context for the situations the day might throw at you, not as instructions to act. They are framed around the auction, and they are the same for every user.

The Copy read button copies the whole read as clean text, ready for your notes, your journal, or a daily post.
