Session Debrief

The Session Debrief turns a finished day into a self-guided review. It walks the day's key moments in order and, at each one, asks you what you think happened next before it shows you. It is the fastest way to build reading reps: flashcards for the auction, on real days.

Opening it

Press Cmd-K and choose Session Debrief, then pick the day you want to review.

How a moment works

The Debrief stops at each of the day's important moments, for example:

  • the open resolving,
  • the initial balance completing, and breaking,
  • price breaching yesterday's value,
  • a poor high or low forming, or getting repaired,
  • a trend ending (cessation),
  • a late spike,
  • a gap recovering through the open,
  • a liquidation break or short-covering rally.

At each moment the chart is rewound to that instant, showing only what was knowable then. It asks you a question about what happens next, and lets you make a call and lock it in. Then Reveal shows what actually happened, alongside the base rates for that kind of moment (with their sample sizes), and it scores your call.

Why it works

Reading the auction is a skill, and skills need reps. The Debrief gives you honest ones: because each moment is rewound as of that instant, you are calling it blind, the same as live, then getting immediate feedback and the historical odds. The score is a mirror for your own reading, not a grade on your trading.

Notes and the base rates

You can drop a note on any moment as you go, and it lands in your Notes. The history rows on each reveal are the same impersonal base rates from Base rates and sample sizes: past frequencies shown with their samples, not predictions.

Debrief and Replay

Replay lets you watch a day build forward in real time; the Debrief jumps you between the moments that matter and quizzes you on each. Use Replay to feel the flow, and the Debrief to test your read.
