Where it is
Open the Crow's Nest and go to the Notes tab (or press Cmd-K and choose Add note). Notes are kept per symbol and grouped by trading day, so each day has its own page.
Writing a note
Type in the box ("What did you see?") and click Add. Enter makes a new line; you add with the button, so a note is something you write, not fire off mid-thought. Two options as you add:
- Pin at the price. Ties the note to the last price. A pinned note gets an @ price chip you can click to drop a line on the chart at that price, with your note riding along as the line's reason.
- Snapshot chart. Saves a picture of the chart with the note, kept for 30 days. A small camera icon marks notes that have one.
Your alerts log themselves
When a price or reference alert fires, it drops an entry here automatically, tagged auto, with the fired price pinned. So the day's alerts and your own notes sit in one timeline.
Reviewing and keeping
Entries list newest-first with their times. Click an @ price chip to drop that level back onto the chart, or delete any entry. Save PDF keeps the whole day, snapshots and all, as a one-file record. The header also has a Debrief button that opens the Session Debrief for the day.
Notes live on your computer, like the rest of your CutlassEdge data.
A quick habit
The best use is small and constant: one line when something surprises you, pinned to the price, snapshot on. Over a few weeks you build a searchable record of what you actually saw, which beats memory every time.
